Cellulite treatment information and resources.
Your skin is your body’s largest excretory organ, and many toxins are released through it via sweat. If dead cells are allowed to accumulate on the surface of the skin, it becomes difficult for these toxins to be released, leading to dull, dry skin and often blemishes. A minimum of twice a week dry body brushing helps to maintain healthy skin by sloughing away the build-up of dead cells. As body brushing works in synchronization with the circulatory system, it is also very useful in stimulating the removal of toxins via the lymphatic glands and so is very useful as part of anti celulite treatment. Prior to your morning shower, use a natural, firm-bristled body brush on dry skin and, starting at your left foot, sweep the brush in long, firm but gentle movements towards the heart. Once you have finished the left side of the body, continue in downward strokes along the right side, finishing at your right foot. Remember to clean your body brush after each use. Washing in warm water with a few drops of tea tree oil will kill bacteria and rince away the impurities that have been collected in the bristles.
